Zac Barker
Major: Political Science
Hometown: Woodbury, TN
Class of: 2014
Favorite role: Crossing experts
Though he is just as at home driving a tractor, herding cattle, or working on muscle cars as he is on a college campus, Zac Barker came to the MTSU Mock Trial with bountiful experience in public speaking. He may be from Woodbury, TN, but he gave campaign and keynote speeches as a National Junior Beta Club Officer and as Tennessee State Beta Club President and placed 1st in Public Speaking at the 2010 FBLA Tennessee State Convention. That's experience easily carried over to mock trial. During the 2010-2011 season, Zac was an Attorney on both sides as a first year mocker and has never been a witness except for one short bout as a quirky toy expert. At back to back Mid South Invitational tournaments in 2010 and 2011, Zac was an attorney on teams that went 7-1 for 2nd place and 8-0 for 1st place respectively to bring home the giant gavel in 2011. Not only is he passionate about mock trial and political silence, he is passionate about music as he has played guitar in various bands for years and was in marching band while in high school. There are three things that the redneck of mock trial holds with high regard: America, Jesus, and Freedom! As long as he has those three things, he is a happy guy. Zac participated in Mock Trial from August of 2010-February of 2013.
