Rachel A. Harmon
Rachel Allison Harmon devoted five years to MTSU Mock Trial and she still can't stay away. She competed as both as an attorney and witness during her tenure as a competitive member, winning many awards as both. She attended the National Championship Tournament twice; first in 2008 and later in 2012. Her greatest legacy as a mocker was, as President, co-captaining the team to a 3rd place finish in their division at the NCT after the organization had been absent from the big dance for four years.
While Harmon has no desire to go into law, she loves mock trial for its competition aspect, the people in it, and the suits. In fact, she loves mock so much that she came back to help coach as she pursues a masters in International Security at MTSU. She hopes to one day work for an NGO in Afghanistan, strengthening civil society (including small businesses, women's groups, education sector, etc) outside of state government influence as a way to bring about long term reform, change, and development.
